RepresentativeoftheNationalPeople’sCongress,GeneralManagerWuXiangjunofYilingPharmaceuticalCo.,Ltd.putforwardintheproposalon”StrengtheningtheroleoftraditionalChinesemedicineinthepreventionofchronicdiseasesandpromotingthedevelopmentofChineseherbalmedicineplantingindustry”,PromoteearlyinterventionoftraditionalChinesemedicineinthetreatmentofchronicdiseases;choosetoincorporatemodernChinesemedicinethathasbeenproventocorrectthecurativeeffectofchronicdiseasesthroughevidence-basedmedicalresearch,asanecessarymedicinetoreplacemedicalinstitutionsandafirst-linemedicineforthetreatmentofcorrespondingdiseases.Accordingtothe”ChinaCardiovascularDiseaseReport2018″releasedinApril2019,thecurrentnumberofpatientswithcardiovasculardiseaseisabout2.900million,deathsaccountedformorethan40%ofresidents’deathsfromdiseases,andthenumberonecauseofdeathamongurbanandruralresidents.Chronicdiseaseshavebecomeamajorpublichealthproblemthatseriouslythreatensthehealthofresidentsindevelopingcountries.Takingstrokeasanexample,thereare13millionpatientsand153deaths.63/100,000.In2015,thetotalnumberofstrokesdischargedwasmorethan7million,andthecostofhospitalizationwasmorethan75billion,causingahugeburdenofmedicalexpenses.70%ofpatientswhosurvivedtheonsetofstrokehaddifferentdegreesofdisability,ofwhich40%wereseverelydisabled.Hemiplegia,aphasia,handandfootinconveniencesandotherdisabilitiescausedbystrokemakethepatientlosestrengthandcannotliveindependently,seriouslyaffectthepatient’squalityoflife,andbringaheavyburdentoindividuals,familiesandsociety.Therefore,theonsetofchronicdiseasesisparticularlyimportant.TheinterventionoftraditionalChinesemedicinetreatmentatdifferentstagesofthedevelopmentofchronicdiseasescanplayadifferentroleinpreventingthediseasefirst,preventingthediseasefromchanging,andpreventingthediseasefromrecurring,savingalotofmedicalresourcesandcosts.Atpresent,aseriesofsequentialandevidence-basedmedicalstudieshaveconfirmedthatmodernChinesemedicineswithgoodcurativeeffectcanbeusedindifferentstagesofchronicdiseasestoreducetheincidenceofdisease,therateofdeterioration,therateofdisability,andtherateofdeath.ThecoverageoftraditionalChinesemedicineneedstobefurtherexpanded.TraditionalChinesemedicineaccountsforonly15ofthetotalnumberofhealthpersonnelinthecountry.9%,Chinesemedicalinstitutionsonlyaccountfor6ofthetotalnumberofmedicalinstitutionsinthecountry.At09%,thetworatiosaretoolow,whichrestrictstraditionalChinesemedicinetofullyplayitsduerole.WuXiangjunsuggestedthatvigorouslycarryouttheeducationoftheconceptof”treatingthedisease”oftraditionalChinesemedicine,promotetheconceptof”treatingthedisease”oftraditionalChinesemedicineintothecampus,intothecommunity,andencourageradioandtelevisionstationstosetupspecialchannelsforpublicwelfareChinesemedicineculture.Atthesametime,promotetheearlyinterventionoftraditionalChinesemedicineinthetreatmentofchronicdiseases.TraditionalChinesemedicinetreatmentimprovessignificantlyintheearlystageofchronicdiseases.ItisrecommendedtochoosemodernChinesemedicinethatprovesthecureandcorrectionofchronicdiseasesthroughevidence-basedmedicalresearch.Oncethediagnosisofchronicdiseasesisconfirmed,timelyinterventionwithChinesemedicine.”First,selectpatenttraditionalChinesemedicineswithobvioustheoreticalcharacteristicsandoutstandingbenefitstopreferentiallyreplacemedicalprotectionandbasedrugcatalogs;secondly,forthesuperiorvarietiessupportedbygraduallyevidence-basedmedicalevidenceandunanimouslyrecommendedbydomesticauthoritativeguidelines,strengthenthepriorityallocationofmedicalterminalsandEnsureuse;third,strengthenpolicysupportsothatmoreChineseandWesternphysicianscansmoothlyusehigh-qualityChinesepatentmedicinestopreventandtreatchronicdiseases.”,WuXiangjunalsoproposedtofurtherimprovethecoverageoftheChinesemedicineservicepopulation,promotemedicalschoolstodeepeneducationreform,adjustthetalenttrainingstructure,strengthentheconstructionofChinesemedicinedisciplines,improvethetalenttrainingsystemofbothChineseandWesternmedicine,andincreaseinvestmentinChinesemedicinehospitalsEffortstovigorouslydevelopChinesemedicineclinics,ChinesemedicineoutpatientdepartmentsandspecialhospitalsforChinesemedicine.EditorYueQingxiuproofreadingWangXin
